Moreover, a Korean media outlet recently reported a “fierce debate” within NCsoft over the launch, fueling speculation of a delay to October. There are plenty of reasons to be skeptical, as Amazon, the game’s western publisher, has remained tight-lipped and no tests have run in the west yet. But with no formal delay announcement, it's unclear whether that timeline is still valid. The February test phase was meant to be the final one, with investors being told that the game would launch in the west during the first half of 2023. Throne & Liberty has been in development for a decade, experiencing numerous false starts, do-overs, and renames along the way since its introduction to the world as Lineage Eternal.
